Sisters-in-law, Anu Tinu and Reshma Binu opened their boutique Mannath in Panampilly Nagar, Kochi in 2007. This was a store that showcased their shared passion for creating beautiful ethnic wear that was unique, yet in keeping with style trends of the time. Vivid colours, intricate handwork and opulent fabrics characterized their work and word spread soon. Mannath’s clientele began to expand with more and more discerning women keen to sport the label. The duo’s signature creations soon caught the eye of noted celebrities who faced the flashlights in these exclusive creations.

Not the kind to be content with their first step, Anu and Reshma, felt that the bridal wear market in Kerala was poised to explode, with more and more brides choosing to go the haute couture way for their wedding looks and trousseau. To fill this market demand, Label‘M, the duo’s second boutique opened in Vytilla in 2012, showcasing designer bridal wear that is elaborate and glamorous, yet sophisticated and elegant—a combination that was rare to find in Kerala’s fashion circle. Today, it is “the place” for personalised, designer wear and is buzzing with pretty creations and happy customers. With an ever growing clientele, Anu and Reshma’s designs have also found favour with celebrities—actors, socialites, movie makers and an array of strong, stylish women.
